CANCAM

    Welcome to CANCAM!

The Canadian Congress of Applied Mechanics (CANCAM) is a non-profit organization established in 1975 with the sole purpose of promoting mechanics in Canada through the organization of a bi-annual event called "Canadian Congress of Applied Mechanics".

    CANCAM Bell

The CANCAM Bell has been donated by Canadian National Railways and presented at the 8th Canadian Congress of Applied Mechanics at the University of Moncton in 1981. It has been used since then to open and close the Canadian Congresses of Applied Mechanics. The text on the bell states that “CN Bell Tolls from Coast to Coast”, same as congresses move throughout the country, much like the CN trains. The “CANCAM Bell” has also been used to open and close the 2016 International Congress for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ICTAM) in Montreal.
